New patients & first visit
Your first visit is a thorough, unhurried consultation — not a rushed intake. Dr. Marco will spend time reviewing your full health history, listening to your symptoms, and performing a functional neurological and structural exam.
The goal is to identify the root cause of your condition, not simply manage symptoms. From there, you'll receive a personalized care plan with a clear path forward. Plan for approximately 60–75 minutes.
If you have them, bring any relevant lab work, imaging (MRI, X-ray, CT scans), or prior medical records. These help Dr. Marco get a clearer picture faster. If you don't have records, that's fine — we'll work with what you have.
Wear or bring comfortable clothing that allows movement, particularly if you're being evaluated for spinal or musculoskeletal concerns.
Every patient is different. After your initial evaluation, Dr. Marco will give you a realistic treatment timeline based on your condition, severity, and goals.
Our care is structured in four phases — Root-Cause Analysis → Stabilize → Restore → Rebuild — and is designed for long-term results, not temporary relief. Many patients see meaningful improvement within the first few weeks.

Conditions we treat
Dr. Marco provides advanced integrative care for both chronic musculoskeletal conditions and complex, hard-to-diagnose chronic illness. Conditions commonly treated include:
- Chronic neck, back, and disc pain
- Sciatica, shoulder, and knee injuries
- Headaches, concussion, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Chronic fatigue and brain fog
- Mold-related illness and Lyme-related symptoms
- EBV, immune dysfunction, and unexplained inflammation
- Whiplash and post-accident recovery
This is exactly who we are built for. Many of our patients arrive after years of specialist visits, medications that only mask symptoms, and labs that came back "normal" — yet they still feel unwell.
Our approach is different because we focus on identifying and addressing the underlying root cause of your symptoms. We combine functional medicine analysis with nervous system regulation and regenerative therapies to help patients recover when traditional approaches have fallen short.
Yes. Dr. Marco works with patients of a wide range of ages and activity levels, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, weekend warriors managing repetitive strain, and individuals with chronic conditions. If you're unsure whether your case is a good fit, reach out — we'll give you an honest answer.
Treatment methods & technologies
This is not a high-volume "crack and go" office. Dr. Marco combines several disciplines into one cohesive care plan:
- Functional medicine — root-cause investigation, not symptom management
- Nervous system regulation — calming the neural irritation that drives chronic conditions
- Advanced chiropractic care — precise, evidence-based spinal and structural correction
- Regenerative therapies — technologies to accelerate healing and restore function
Every care plan is fully personalized. There are no cookie-cutter protocols here.
Yes. Chiropractic care delivered by a licensed, experienced doctor is one of the safest forms of healthcare for musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Marco performs a thorough evaluation before recommending any treatment, and all care decisions are individualized to your specific health status.
If you have concerns about a particular technique or a prior health history, please raise it during your consultation — we will always work within your comfort level.
Regenerative therapies are advanced recovery technologies designed to support tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and restore function at a cellular level. These can include modalities such as laser therapy, electrical stimulation, and other evidence-informed tools.
Some of these therapies are not FDA approved. The benefits and risks of any therapy will be fully discussed with you during your consultation, and you will never be pressured into treatment. Dr. Marco Abellera, DC follows all applicable FDA guidelines.
Pricing & payment
We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to spend significantly more time with each patient, offer truly personalized care plans, and provide therapies that insurance rarely covers.
You are welcome to submit claims to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement — we can provide detailed receipts to help with that process.
Pricing is discussed transparently during your initial consultation, after Dr. Marco has assessed your condition and recommended a care plan. We do not charge for services you don't need.
If you have questions about cost before booking, call us at (925) 450-3991 and we'll give you a general sense of what to expect.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash. Payment plans may be available for larger care packages — ask our team during your consultation.
